DUBOIS – A DuBois School crushed their goal of collecting and donating 100 Thanksgiving meals this Monday.

For the past month New Story School has been gathering donations to give back to the community for their 4th “Thanksgiving-in-a-Box” event.

We heard from Karri Yarus, an assistant behavioral analyst at New Story Schools, who said they crushed their goal of collecting 100 boxes to give away to you at home.

“We’re trying to raise awareness and get our kids involved in the community, and give back to the community,“ explained Yarus. “This is our best year yet. Last year we were able to give out 53 boxes, we actually had enough donations this year to complete 100 boxes.”

Each box contained a turkey alongside canned items, stuffing mix, gravy, and potato mix
