CLEARFIELD – Clearfield based State Police will soon be moving their Barracks to Lawrence Township.
Last week, the Lawrence Township Board of Supervisors approved the plan for the relocation.
The barracks will be moving from their current location in Woodland to a newly constructed building on Bud George Boulevard, across the street from the State Department of Transportation Offices.
The current building plan will have an almost 13,000 square-foot building across eight acres. There will also be a helicopter pad, shooting range, a storage shed, radio tower, generators, and a parking lot fitting just over 80 cars.
While there is no start date set for the project, it is expected to start soon.
