HARRISBURG – Elk and Clearfield County State Representative Mike Armanini is praising the passage of a new law in Pennsylvania which will give crime victims better access to investigative information about their cases.

Act 134 was recently signed into law, and it will take effect in six months.

It will allow crime victims to request criminal history investigative information which is relevant to any civil action they are taking as a result of the crime.

The measure began as House Bill 2525, part of the Smart Justice effort by Armanini and fellow Republicans standing up for the rights of crime victims.
