CLEARFIELD – The staffing situation at the Clearfield County Jail is becoming more stable, and the newly-created lieutenant position will soon be filled.

That positive news was reported at this week’s Clearfield County Prison Board meeting.

Warden David Gallagher told the board that the new lieutenant overseeing second shift, scheduling, and training of the guards will be Tori Kerr, and she is expected to begin the new job on November 28th.

Gallagher said the jail now has a staff of 31 corrections officers who are responsible for an average of 197 inmates.
