New Interim Manager Passes Sandy Township; Awaiting Joint Board Approval

SANDY TOWNSHIP – The Sandy Township Board of Supervisors approved Kafferlin Strategies firm to act as the Interim Manager, taking over as current Manager Shawn Arbaugh sees his final days with the municipalities.

Kafferlin Strategies is a firm based out of Warren Pennsylvania. With a team of eight specialists Lisa Hagberg was selected to work as the primary Manager of the city and township, working five days a week with Ben Kafferlin stepping in when available.

According to current City and Township Manager Shawn Arbaugh, the firm is expected to start this Wednesday.

“Kafferlin will be starting this Wednesday,“ explained Arbaugh. “We will bring them in on Wednesday morning, they’ll be at the consolidation meeting on Wednesday evening

While the firm has been approved by both the city and township, they are still awaiting the Consolidation Join Board’s approval, which will be put to a vote at their Wednesday night meeting.

Kafferlin Strategies will oversee the Manager and Assistant Manager positions at an annual budget of $342,000 dollars until permanent  replacements are found.
