BROOKVILLE – In Jefferson County, charges have been filed against a New Bethlehem couple for allegedly leaving a young boy in the back seat of a hot vehicle while they played PA Skills Games.

According to Brookville Police, 40-year-old Joshua Faulk and 37-year-old Kayla Wonderling have been charged with hazardous and disorderly conduct.

Police and witnesses report that the child had been lying in the back seat of a pickup truck for at least an hour during a sunny afternoon earlier this month.

Faulk and Wonderling were found at a nearby skills games facility.

Police and Jefferson County CYS officials say the boy was visibly ill, and told investigators that he had an ear infection and “just wanted to go home and lay down.”
