Ridgway, PA – A motorcyclist from Johnsonburg was seriously injured after hitting a pothole and crashing in Ridgway over the weekend.
37-year-old Jeffrey Vanzanten had been attempting to pass a vehicle on the right on the Boot Jack Road portion of Route 219 in Ridgway around 4:45 Saturday afternoon.
He struck a pothole and was thrown from the motorcycle.
Vanzanten had been wearing his helmet but suffered serious injuries. He was taken to Altoona Hospital.
