
Brookville, PA – In an ongoing case of the rape of four children, a Jefferson County man is now facing more than 4,600 charges.
31-year-old Andrew Ryan Powell has been in jail since his arrest on May 20 after a report of the sexual assault of a minor child in Brookville.
During the interview process, Powell reportedly admitted to sexually assaulting four minor children over the course of multiple years.
New details say it was three girls, ages 7, 10 and 13, and a 12-year-old boy.
The assaults happened at the children’s home in Brookville, Powell’s former home in Brookville, and his current home in Sykesville.
Powell faces 462 felony charges each, most of them related to rape and sexual assault. This includes rape of a child, statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, aggravated indecent assault of a child, unlawful contact with a minor, sexual assault, incest of a minor, indecent assault of a person less than 13 years old, disseminating explicit sexual material to a minor, and endangering the welfare of children.
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 4.
