Missing Indiana County woman found dead in vehicle in stream

West Lebanon, PA – The search for a missing Indiana County woman has been called off after she was found dead in her vehicle.

You might have seen posts on Facebook recently, asking for help finding 55-year-old Lori Anne Lane, who had last been seen on Feb. 6 at her home in Young Township, Indiana County.

However, police now say that she was found inside of her Honda Pilot, which was overturned in a stream in Armstrong Township, Indiana County.

A concerned citizen had reported seeing the crashed car. She was deceased when crews found her.

Although she was found on Feb. 7, the information was just posted to the State Police website yesterday.

The cause and manner of death are still pending toxicology results, but investigators say they do not suspect foul play.

Missing West Lebanon Woman Found Deceased

West Lebanon, PA – Lori Ann Lane, 55, of West Lebanon, whom troopers were searching for after a family member reported her missing yesterday morning, has been found deceased. As previously reported, Lane was last seen on February 6 at approximately 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM at her residence along Vellesig Road, Young Township, Indiana County.

On February 7, 2020 at approximately 4:00 PM, passersby observed Lane’s silver 2003 Honda Pilot overturned in a stream along Taylor Road, Armstrong Township, Indiana County. Troopers and first responders were then dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, Lane was found deceased inside the vehicle. Due to the circumstances of this investigation, the Pennsylvania State Police Troop A Major Case Team was activated; however, upon investigation, foul play is not suspected.

The Indiana County Coroner’s Office is also assisting with this investigation; next-of-kin notifications are complete, and the cause and manner of death are pending the results of an autopsy and toxicology testing.
