DUBOIS – A Warren Pennsylvania based management firm is putting forward Lisa Hagberg and Ben Kafferlin as acting Managers of the city and township.
All of this follows the departure of current Manager Shawn Arbaugh, who is set to leave his position at the end of the month.
We spoke with the pair on their thoughts of taking over management for the municipalities.
“We’re really impressed with the sheer amount of projects and thought that has gone into where you are today,” explained Kafferlin.”It’s just really kind of exciting to be a part of the consolidation. Although it’s going to be so hard at times, change is always hard, but we can also see how it’s going to be better for everyone in the long term.”
“I’m really impressed with how Shawn has really put the community in a good place to keep moving forward,” stated Hagberg.
Starting Today the firm will begin looking at Grant Projects and begin putting it into a management system to get an accurate timeline of events throughout consolidation.
The motion to approve Kafferlin Strategies was approved by the DuBois City Council and the Sandy Township Board of Supervisors at an annual budget of $342,000 dollars until permanent replacements are found.
