PUNXSUTAWNEY – The 814 Pred Hunters group has been successful once again in stopping a would-be child abuser in the Tri-County area.
Police in Jefferson County have filed charges against a 42-year-old Maryland man, Jeremy Olsen, who allegedly attempted to meet a teenage girl for sex.
Punxsutawney Police say that 814 Pred Hunters provided them with sexually explicit messages and images Olsen was sending to one of their decoys. Olsen is accused of booking a hotel room in Young Township last weekend, and driving from Maryland to Punxsy with the intention of meeting a 14-year-old girl.
Olsen was arrested at a Punxsutawney playground on Saturday, arraigned on four felony charges and one misdemeanor, and sent to the Jefferson County Jail with bail set at $50,000. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for today (March 7).
