Marienville woman faces charges after stealing over $68,000 in PA Lottery winnings

MARIENVILLE – Felony theft charges have been filed against a Marienville woman for allegedly stealing more than $68,000 in Pennsylvania Lottery Ticket winnings.

According to court documents, 41-year-old Amy Nelson illegally used a lottery terminal machine at the Forest County bar and restaurant where she worked to print off PA Lottery Keno tickets.

Nelson then cashed in various winning tickets at several different retail locations over the course of 18 weeks earlier this year.

When she was interviewed by police, Nelson reportedly confessed to using the lottery machine and said she was willing to pay back the amount she had taken.

A preliminary hearing for Nelson has not yet been scheduled.
