Man found guilty of murder over three decades ago is back in court

Clearfield – A man who was found guilty in a kidnapping and murder case in DuBois 33 years ago was back in court Tuesday.

Christopher Weatherill is now 50.

He was 17-years old in 1989 when he and Daniel Crispell were sentenced to life in prison for kidnapping, robbing, and murdering 48-year-old Ella Brown in Sandy Township.

Since he was a juvenile at the time, Weatherill’s case has come back to Clearfield County Court for consideration of whether he has been, or can be, rehabilitated.

There will be a sentencing hearing for Weatherill on November 22^nd.
