Man falls asleep holding gun, accidentally shoots himself in arm

Clearfield County, PA – A Clearfield County man accidentally shot himself in the arm when he fell asleep holding a gun.

It happened around 5 a.m. Tuesday when the unnamed man dozed off while holding his handgun at a home on Egypt Road in Bradford Township, near Woodland.

He suffered a single superficial gunshot wound to his left arm. The man was able to drive himself to Penn Highlands Clearfield to be treated.
