Man Facing Terroristic Threats, Assault Charges in Jefferson County

SYKESVILLE – A 22-year-old man faces criminal charges in Jefferson County for allegedly pointing a gun at a man’s face and then assaulting him.

According to court documents, Adian Castro has been charged with terroristic threats, assault, recklessly endangering another person, and harassment following last week’s incident at a Sykesville residence.

The victim told State Police that Castro jumped from a car, pulled a gun, and pointed it at his face. Castro reportedly dropped the gun, but punched the victim in the face multiple times before they were separated.

Following his arraignment, Castro was released after posting $20,000 unsecured bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 25th.
