
Union Township, PA – A man was seriously injured after crashing his car into a parked fire truck that had stopped to help with another accident on Interstate 80.
The unnamed man from West Salem had been traveling too fast for conditions last Wednesday around 2:15 on westbound I-80 in Union Township, near mile marker 74.6.
A fire truck was parked in that area and had been helping with traffic control for another crash that had happened nearby.
The man did not slow down in time, lost control, and struck the back of the fire truck.
He had not been wearing a seat belt and sustained serious injuries.
The unnamed man was taken by ambulance to Penn Highlands Brookville.
