PINE CREEK TWP. – Charges have been filed against a 69-year-old man who allegedly provided 180-proof moonshine for a minor. The young man had to be rushed to Penn Highlands DuBois after he gulped a quart of the alcohol and fell unconscious.
According to court documents, Kenneth Tejchman of Butler County offered the moonshine to several people at a Jefferson County residence earlier this month. Tejchman admitted to police that he did not ask the young man’s age before giving him alcohol.
Medical records allegedly show that the victim’s Blood Alcohol Content when tested at the hospital was four times the legal limit of being intoxicated.
Tejchman will face a preliminary hearing on February 28th.
