
Karthaus, PA – A person broke into an empty home that was being renovated in Clearfield County, potentially just to use the bathroom.
The investigation started on Sept. 12 whenever police were called to a house on Pottersdale Road in Karthaus Township for a noise disturbance.
The home was supposed to be empty, as it was being renovated.
Troopers say an unnamed 33-year-old Morrisdale man had forced his way into the home and then used the bathroom.
He did not have permission to be there.
The entry door had $650 worth of damage from the break-in.
The victims are listed as a 51-year-old Houtzdale woman and 45-year-old Houtzdale man.
Charges are being filed for burglary, criminal trespass, and criminal mischief.
