DUBOIS – A Northern Cambria man is behind bars after allegedly breaking medical equipment and assaulting staff at Penn Highlands DuBois last week.
Police were contacted by hospital staff, saying that a patient, later identified as 30 year-old John Walters Williams, was allegedly getting out of control.
When officers arrived, they observed Williams yelling profanities and threatening staff, stating that he was going to get a knife and kill them.
A worker did try to calm Williams down, at which point he allegedly grabbed a COVID test kit, opened the bottle and threw the fluids on the staff member.
He then allegedly smashed a fax machine onto the ground and a computer screen.
Police and staff were able to restrain Williams.
He was then escorted to Clearfield County Jail where he faces a slew of charges including aggravated assault, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct.
