CLEARFIELD – A man is facing Fraud charges after allegedly attempting to sell his food assistance benefits while in the Clearfield County Jail.
After investigating, Clearfield Regional Police Department say that a current inmate at the Clearfield County Jail, Eric Gillingham, was allegedly attempting to sell his SNAP benefits to multiple others.
Gillingham was allegedly asking for cash in exchange for the food stamp card, telling others that they could keep a majority of the funds if he got a little bit of cash.
He is now being charged with Access Device Fraud and Buying/Exchanging Federal Food Stamps.
