
Mahaffey, PA – A Mahaffey woman was injured after a crash in which she struck the side of a house.
79-year-old Doris Clapsaddle had been driving on the Mahaffey-Grampian Highway portion of Route 219 on Dec. 22 when she lost control for unknown reasons.
She left the roadway, struck a PennDOT sign, a private fence, and then a large rock, which launched her vehicle into the side of an unoccupied house.
Clapsaddle was taken from the scene by ambulance and then was flown to UPMC Altoona for injuries of unknown severity.
