Log truck overturns on Route 219, Clearfield County

Burnside Township, PA – A log truck overturned on Route 219 in Clearfield County recently, injuring the driver.

23-year-old Joseph Carney from Hamilton, PA (west of Punxsutawney, Jefferson County) had been driving the Peterbilt truck along Route 219 in Burnside Township around 3:15 Monday afternoon.

He overcompensated for a curve, causing the truck to overturn onto its side and lose several logs.

Carney had not been wearing his seat belt.

Police say he had possible injuries but refused transport to the hospital.

His passenger, 42-year-old Charles Brown from Reynoldsville, had been wearing his seat belt and was not injured.

The driver faces charges for careless driving.
