Log skidder worth $12,000 sold without owner’s permission

Pine Township, PA – A log skidder worth $12,000 was reportedly sold without the owner’s permission near Curwensville.

State Police were contacted on Feb. 12 about a Timberjack log skidder that was broken down along Gary Lynn Road in Pine Township, with two people claiming ownership.

As the investigation continued, 47-year-old Jason Whitaker from Curwensville was charged with theft for selling the skidder without the original owner’s permission.

The victims are listed as a 59-year-old Curwensville man and a 42-year-old Grampian man.
