HARRISBURG – Local State Senator Wayne Langerholc is proposing legislation in Harrisburg that would increase the penalties for someone found guilty of selling or trafficking fentanyl to a minor.

Langerholc said the bill he is working would allow jail sentences of 20 to 40 years for distribution of fentanyl to minors.

Even though the legislation is in its early stages, Langerholc said he feels very confident it will become law.

According to Langerholc, “Fentanyl kills,” and he added, “This is something that is impacting everyone across this commonwealth of all ages, all races, all party affiliations.”
