CLEARFIELD – A 58-year-old Clearfield man has waived his right to a preliminary hearing and will go to trial in county court to face charges for alleged attempted child sex crimes.

Among the charges Glenn Goodrich will face are criminal attempt-statutory sexual assault, criminal solicitation, criminal attempt-aggravated indecent assault, and unlawful contact with a minor.

Lawrence Township police say Goodrich allegedly attempted to lure two individuals – whom he believed were 14 and 16 years old – to his local motel room in Clearfield.

Police say he also sent an inappropriate photo and his address through a social networking and dating app.

Goodrich is currently held in the Clearfield County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
