Loaded gun, phone, credit card, and $200 lost near Clarion River, Elk County

Spring Creek Township, PA – A man lost a loaded gun, phone, credit card, and money that he had put into a plastic bag to try to keep it from getting wet as he was exploring the Clarion River in Elk County.

The unnamed victim had placed his loaded Ruger LCP .380 pistol, a black iPhone 7, and his wallet with several credit cards and about $200 cash into a clear gallon zip lock bag.

It happened around 3:15 p.m. on May 23, the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, on River Road in Spring Creek Township, near Sigel.

In total, everything was worth about $640.
