CLEARFIELD – A Pennsylvania Senator has proposed legislation that, if adopted, would save Quehanna Boot Camp
Proposed by Sen. Wayne Langerholc Jr., the bill would change the goals of the Department of Corrections to see the success rate in these facilities.
Langerholc says that Quehanna Boot Camp has one of the lowest reoffending rates and accounted for 30 percent of all GEDs awarded at correctional facilities.
All of this follows a recommendation made by the Department of Corrections to close the facility.
