Leeper woman has iPhone XS Max stolen while trying to sell it

Farmington Township, PA – A Clarion County woman who was attempting to sell her iPhone was the victim of a scam when the person buying the phone ran away with it.

The 54-year-old Leeper woman had been attempting to sell the phone at a location along Route 36 in Farmington Township on Nov. 25.

Police don’t describe who she was selling it to, but the person was supposed to buy the used iPhone XS Max for $500.

The person requested a phone charger to make sure that the phone would charge properly. However, when the victim went back into the house to get a charger, the thief left the area in an unknown make/model 2-door vehicle.

The investigation is currently ongoing.
