LAWRENCE – A Lawrence man is facing multiple charges related to a hit and run incident late March.
On March 19th police responded to Martin Street Extension for reports of a hit and run. After investigating, police discovered a vehicle had gone into a resident’s yard.
Police were able to locate the vehicle at 104 Calvary Road covered in bushes and tree brush. Authorities found the driver of the vehicle, Romello Weber, and detained him.
It was discovered that Romello was driving the vehicle while under the influence, a drug test later revealed he had illicit drugs in his system.
Police also discovered approximately 80 grams of methamphetamine, cash, and other drugs in his possession.
Romello is now facing Charges for DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to deliver, and other charges.
Romello is also facing other drug charges after dropping off close to 50 grams of fentanyl, 2 grams of methamphetamine, a scale, and other drugs to an unnamed female in late August.
