Winslow Township, PA – A Jefferson County man reportedly admitted that he had been driving too fast and was under the influence of alcohol when he crashed his vehicle into a utility pole.
State Police in DuBois say 25-year-old Derek Conrad from Knoxdale had been driving on Route 310 in Winslow Township around 9:20 p.m. on Jan. 29.
He lost control of his Subaru Forester, left the roadway, overturned, and struck a utility pole. He crawled out of the vehicle and ran to a nearby home.
He reportedly told witnesses that he had been driving at around 105 mph during the crash and was under the influence of alcohol.
He had not been wearing a seatbelt and was taken to Penn Highlands DuBois with injuries of unknown severity.
Charges are being filed.
