DUBOIS – This weekend you are invited to join your peers in the 3rd annual Kick the Stigma Day of Wellness in DuBois Saturday.
Held from 9am to 5pm at the DuBois City Park you are invited to enjoy activities including, a kickball tournament, pickleball tournament, art contests, special speakers, vendors, and food trucks.
Ultimately as organizer Aaron Beatty tells us, this day is meant to address mental health concerns and the stigma that surrounds it.
“We’re going to do it in an open space where it is fun and exciting, and all of the resources and providers are there for anybody that is looking for those,“ explained Beatty. “But we’re going to have the activities and different things that you can do just to come down and enjoy those as well.”
In the end, the Day of Wellness is just one day of the year, so Beatty would like to remind you to always be there for those struggling with mental health.
