BENEZETTE – Throngs of people are expected to gather for the 2023 Keystone Elk Country Alliance Elk Expo this weekend.
This year’s event at the Elk Country Visitor Center in Benezette will be Saturday from 9 am to 6 pm, and Sunday from 9 am to 5 pm.
In addition to more than 120 vendors, the Elk Expo features seminars, calling contests, exhibits, live music, the Pennsylvania Game Commission’s elk tag drawing, and the unveiling of a new building at the visitor center.
Elk Expo is considered to be the largest celebration of its kind in the northeast, and organizers say all of the proceeds raised from the event stay in the area to benefit local initiatives.
