Keeping Safe During Halloween

UNDATED – With hundreds of kids taking to the streets for Halloween, it is important to keep safety in mind while enjoying the spooktacular holiday.

First off, you are encouraged to look at your children’s costumes. Make sure reflective aspects are incorporated into their costumes and to stick to brightly lit areas.

We previously heard from Maggie Nunley, a regional program administrator from the Pennsylvania DUI Association, Who wanted to warn you about the dangers of the roadways

“We kind of tend to overlook the public outreach for Halloween,” explained Nunley. “Because it is more focused on safety for pedestrians and safety for children, which is all extremely important, but imagine if you have impaired drivers out there that are now in the mix with children, pedestrians, and stuff like that.”

It is also important to inspect your children’s goodies, and toss anything that looks suspicious.

We wish for you all to have an amazing Halloween experience, and hope you make it to the Sunny106 Halloween parade.
