DUBOIS – Penn State DuBois was one of 12 branch campuses recommended to close their doors, we take a deep dive into what the institution offers in our area.
Besides being a Penn State Campus, the facility welcomes high school students to take college level courses, offers academic challenges to area schools, it has the only wildlife technical degree, and is very heavily involved in both the community and industry locally.
We spoke with State Representative Mike Armanini, who believes that due to the tremendous potential of our local campus, that it should stay in our area.
“We must keep that campus in our area,“ Explained Armanini. “It is such a economic driver, but it does so many things for the youth and people who are trying to better themselves and give themselves that opportunity.”
Penn State will decide which campuses they will close by the end of the Spring Semester.
