CLEARFIELD – It took a jury only 30 minutes of deliberation Thursday to find a Luthersburg man not guilty of possessing child pornography.
According to Clearfield County Court documents, 27-year-old Justin Tipton was facing felony charges of child pornography possession and criminal use of a communication facility.
During testimony at last week’s trial a State Police Digital Forensic Examiner said he was not able to provide the specifics of how three thumbnail images of child pornography got onto Tipton’s phone, or who put them there.
Other court documents indicate Tipton had agreed to plead guilty to the child pornography charge last year, but he withdrew that plea in August.
