BROOKVILLE – A Jefferson County woman is is behind bars, facing an assault charge, after she allegedly caused injury to a 12-year-old boy.
According to court documents, 19-year-old Amber Lucas of Brookville is accused of having an argument with the victim before pushing him into a wall.
The boy reportedly hit his head on the wall and fell into a laundry basket.
Witnesses at the scene told Brookville Police that Lucas was “out of control.”
Following a mental health check at Penn Highlands Brookville and her arraignment, Lucas was lodged in the Jefferson County Jail with bail set at $15,000.
A preliminary hearing for Lucas has been scheduled for August 22nd.
