BROOKVILLE – Theft charges have been filed against a Jefferson County woman for allegedly breaking into a car, stealing debit cards, and making hundreds of dollars worth of purchases.
According to court documents, 39-year-old Farah Paul of Brookville is accused of burglarizing a vehicle along Sixth Street in mid-April. Brookville Borough Police say Paul used the debit cards to buy more than $300 worth of cigarettes and vaping supplies.
In an interview, Paul allegedly admitted to police that she burglarized the vehicle, stole the debit cards and used them, and then threw them in a sewer.
Paul’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 31st.
