Jefferson County teen uninjured after crashing car into utility pole

SHARE NOW

SIGEL — A Jefferson County teen escaped injury after falling asleep at the wheel and crashing his car into a utility pole this week.

State Police say 18-year-old Logan Brown of Sigel drifted off to sleep while driving west on Route 36 in Eldred Township Wednesday night.

Brown’s car travelled off the road, hit an embankment, smashed into a utility pole, and then rolled onto its roof.

While Brown was able to avoid injury in the wreck, police say he was charged with a traffic violation.
