HARRISBURG – Among hundreds of handmade ornaments hanging on Pennsylvania’s State Capitol Christmas tree this year are some made by senior adults in Jefferson County.
Ornaments were submitted by seniors at the Brockwayville Depot in Brockway, The Foundry in Reynoldsville, Brookville’s Heritage House, and the Punxsutawney Senior Center.
The PA Department of Aging invited 75 different Senior Community Centers to create and contribute the ornaments, which were then hung on the Christmas tree which stands in the capitol rotunda in Harrisburg.
