JEFFERSON COUNTY – A Jefferson County man is facing over 90 new charges for allegedly raping a minor last year.
Police allege that in 2023 43 year-old Michael Sest had inappropriate contact with a minor from 2019 and 2023.
In 2023 the then 14 year-old came forward to authorities about the alleged incidents. Police were able to find DNA through an assault kit.
He is now facing close to 90 charges in the case, he has been held in the Jefferson County Jail since December of 2023.
