Summerville – A 63-year-old Jefferson County man charged with assault has a preliminary hearing scheduled for today in magisterial court.
State Police say Donald Espy Jr. of Summerville is facing simple assault charges following an alleged attack on a female victim that left her with a bump on the head, and bruises on her arm and chest.
Espy Jr. and the victim were reportedly arguing at a residence in Summerville on August 13th when it escalated and Espy Jr. grabbed and shoved the victim.
In the weeks following the domestic dispute, Espy Jr. has been free on $10,000 unsecured bail.
