PUNXSUTAWNEY – Assault and child endangerment charges have been filed against a Jefferson County man.
According to a State Police report, Christopher Uplinger of Punxsutawney is accused of hitting a woman in the head and her side while she was holding their young child.
Uplinger is being held in the Jefferson County Jail with bail set at $10,000.
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Thursday this week.
