BROOKVILLE– No one was hurt when a gas company building in Brookville was destroyed by fire and explosions Thursday afternoon.
Fire Department officials in Jefferson County say flames and smoke were reported at the Seneca Resources National Fuel Gas location on Zents Boulevard at 4pm. Pine Creek Township Fire Chief Brad Welsh said the flames were intense, and there was heavy smoke due to propane tanks exploding when firefighters arrived on scene.
The cause of the blaze is being investigated. Welsh also reported that every Jefferson County fire company responded.
