Jefferson County crash leads to two hospitalizations

Clover Twp. – A four-vehicle crash in Jefferson County earlier this week resulted in serious injuries to two women.

State Police say both women were life-flighted from the scene in Clover Township.

Monday morning, a 35-year-old Brookville woman was driving south on Route 28 when her vehicle crossed into the northbound lane and collided with a commercial box truck.

Her vehicle then continued southbound and crashed head-on into a pickup driven by a 38-year-old woman from Kittanning.

The Brookville woman was reportedly treated for serious injuries at UPMC Altoona Hospital, and the Kittanning woman was treated at UPMC Pittsburgh.

The names of the drivers have not been released.

No other injuries were reported.
