BROOKVILLE – A final decision will be made next Tuesday by the Jefferson County Commissioners on whether Pennsylvania Great Outdoors will be decertified as the county’s Tourist Promotion Agency.
The commissioners say the main issue of why they want to decertify the agency is a lack of transparency regarding audited financial reports.
It had been speculated that the move was due to a recent refusal of Pennsylvania Great Outdoors to process a $100,000 grant request.
A decertification vote will take place during the commissioners’ regular meeting on Tuesday, June 27, at 10:30 a.m.
