CLEARFIELD – A 49-year-old Clearfield County man is jailed and faces more than 170 burglary and theft charges.

State Police say Larry Ricketts Jr of Coalport allegedly broke into a Jordan Township house earlier this month and stole over 80 items including gold coins and a shotgun.

Ricketts reportedly was seen on surveillance video purchasing a box of cigars at a nearby gas station about 20 minutes after the break-in, using one of the gold coins. Police then stopped Ricketts as he was driving near the victim’s residence just four hours later.

He is currently in the Clearfield County Jail awaiting trial with his bail set at $100,000.
