It’s “Click It or Ticket” enforcement week

PUNXSUTAWNEY – The Pennsylvania State Police program, “Click It or Ticket,” is in full force this week in the Tri-County area. During the week, state troopers are adopting a zero-tolerance policy while enforcing state seat belt and child passenger restraint laws. If you are stopped for a traffic violation and you’re not wearing a seat belt, it will result in two citations – one for the traffic violation and the other for the seat belt violation. There will be safety checkpoints set up in the Tri-County area, and there will be free child safety seat checks at four locations to help ensure child safety through education.

Today, State Police will have have a child seat event in DuBois from 3pm to 9pm at the DuSan Ambulance Building on Beaver Drive.

On Tuesday, it’s Punxsutawney’s child seat event from 2pm to 8pm at the Punxsutawney Borough Building on East Mahoning Street.

In Elk County, there will be a child seat event at the Ridgway Borough PennDOT Office on St. Leo Avenue on Tuesday from 3pm to 9pm.

Then on Wednesday, the Clearfield Volunteer Fire Department on South Front Street in Clearfield will have a child seat event from 2pm to 8pm. At the child seat events, state troopers will check child restraint seats for proper installation and will provide instructions to correct any problems.
