JEFFERSON COUNTY – An inmate at the Jefferson County Jail is facing more charges after allegedly assaulting corrections officers last year.
State Police in Punxsutawney were dispatched to the Jefferson County Jail on September 16th where they learned that 21 year-old Steven McGovern allegedly kicked an officer in the groin and attempted to bite officers while being restrained.
When questioned, he denied the altercation.
McGovern is now facing harassment and felony assault by prisoner charges.
