PUNXSUTAWNEY – State Police are looking for your help in finding information on a phone scam that swindled a Henderson Township woman Monday.

Troopers initially received reports of the scam at a Route 410 residence; police discovered that a 77 year old woman had received a phone call from a person saying they were her grandson and needed money for bail.

The elderly woman was then contacted by another man claiming to be her grandson’s lawyer, telling her that a $5,000 dollar cash payment was needed.

A man driving a blue Kia Forte identifying himself as Adam went to the residence took the money and left.

State Police are urging if you have any information about the scam to contact authorities.
