Clearfield County, PA – As things turned to ice during the massive drop in temperature, Interstate 80 saw several crashes and closures in the Clearfield County area.
Lawrence Township Volunteer Fire Company reported that they helped with some of the accidents near mile marker 114, both east and westbound lanes, around 1 a.m.
Around 2 a.m., 511PA.com showed that the portion of I-80 between DuBois and Clearfield was closed. Traffic was eventually rerouted via Route 322.
The incidents have been cleaned up at this point in time, and traffic is moving once again. You should still be cautious and watch for slick spots.
Road conditions via 511PA.com, as of 2 a.m. Friday, Feb. 14 in the Clearfield/Falls Creek portion of I-80.
